American Miniature Horse Association World Show

When more than 900 of the top Miniature horses in the world come together at the 2010 AMHA World Show sparks will most definitely fly! Held September 23rd to October 2nd, 2010 this exciting event will showcase participants from around the world, including South Africa, Australia, Belgium, France, Russia and Denmark with many others visiting Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas for the first time.

All eyes will be focused on the center ring as more than 2000 entries compete in 185 classes to win the coveted title of World Champion and the World Championship Trophies. “The 2010 AMHA World Show is set to be a spectacular event,” says AMHA President Jim Barenklau. “The horses exhibiting will certainly be the ‘Best of the Best.’ It is an honor to compete at the AMHA World level. All of these horses are World Champion quality, they worked hard to get here and are deserving of special recognition. The exhibitors may not all go home with a coveted World Champion Title, but they all know they deservingly competed against the best horses in the World.”

Champion of Champions

The AMHA World Champion of Champions wraps up the show in style. Last year’s winner, Philia Majestic Majesty owned by Tina Fisseler, was honored first as the Grand Champion in the Senior Mare division. Then in a gala celebration with long stemmed rose bouquets for each of the twelve Grand Champion winners, Philia Majestic Majesty was named the Champion of Champions halter horse. Earlier in the week, Fisseler who is from France also won the Amateur Single Pleasure driving class with another of her horses, Astartes Secret Knight.

Super Amateur Award

A Super Amateur award is also given to the Overall High Point Amateur exhibitor. The winner receives multiple awards including a monogrammed director’s chair, a custom made belt buckle and an engraved crystal trophy, courtesy of the Amateur committee and AMHA.
