		<description><![CDATA[In celebration of the 50th NCHA Futurity, the National Cutting Horse Association will present a unique event that spotlights the Futurity&#8217;s history in a crowd-pleasing format. All 32 living past Open Futurity champion riders have been invited to take part in the NCHA Futurity Champions&#8217; Cup, to be held in Fort Worth, Texas. The Neiman Marcus/NCHA Futurity Champions Cup, presented by the Jerry Durant Auto Group, will start at 4:00 p.m. in Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum on Saturday, November 26. Contestants are eligible to ride any horse. The past champions will compete in one of three age groups, with the winner of each division receiving a specially designed champion&#8217;s buckle. 		<description><![CDATA[Join Pat Jacobs as he is inducted into the National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) Members Hall of Fame and honored during a reception to be held on Saturday evening, June 18 as part of the NCHA Convention to be held in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the Oklahoma City Marriott. Induction into the NCHA Members Hall of Fame is the highest honor bestowed by the Association and NCHA is truly proud and appreciative of all you have done for the NCHA and the sport of cutting though your timeless and selfless contributions. Other inductees include Don Bussey, Wayne Hodges, and Lisa Johnson. NCHA will also continue to honor the Members Hall of Fame inductees during the 2011 NCHA World Championship Futurity in December with the Hall of Fame certificate being presented as well as participating in the ceremonial wagon ride in the arena. Pat was the highest rated judge in the NCHA for 46 years. He had four horses in the NCHA Top Ten, five breed World Champions, plus 68 affiliate year end champions. He spent 35 years ranching Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, and the Texas Panhandle. Pat married Ganell &#8220;Nellie&#8221; Jacobs in 1959 and raised three children; Andy, Wade, and Rose. 		<description><![CDATA[American Quarter Horse Association NCHA Weekend AQHA and NCHA have joined to make NCHA Weekend even better.  This year&#8217;s NCHA Weekend shows, http://aqha.com/News/News-Articles/03302011-NCHA-Weekend.aspx June 3-5, in 25 cities throughout the United States and Canada, have been dual-approved, so cutters of all skill levels can now earn AQHA points that count toward qualification for AQHA world championship shows. The purse for the amateur cutting finals at the past several Bank of America Amateur World Championship Shows averaged $60,000. The open cutting finals at the 2011 Fed Ex Open World Championship Show will offer nearly $70,000 with 100 percent of entry fees paid back. AQHA classes will be offered at least one day at each of the 2011 NCHA Weekend shows and will usually be held as a class-within-a-class of the corresponding NCHA class. Membership in the National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) reached an all-time record high of 20,255, on November 4, 2009, according to NCHA Executive Director Jeff Hooper. &#8220;We are especially pleased to have reached this milestone in 2009, during a stressful year for the national and world economy,&#8221; Hooper said. &#8220;And with recent reports of economic growth and recovery, we expect to surpass this new record in 2010.&#8221; Cutting horse competition is the world&#8217;s richest equine arena sport. In 2009, NCHA purses exceeded $43 million, earned by members across 50 states and from 21 foreign countries. The NCHA oversees over 2,200 cutting horse events each year around the globe.
