Cattle Raisers to Host Ranch Gathering in Alpine

The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association http://tscra.org/ (TSCRA) will host a ranch gathering Tuesday, Jan. 22, at the Holland Hotel in Alpine. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by a complimentary beef dinner. Attendees will meet Ronnie Hunt, the TSCRA Special Ranger for District 18. Hunt will report on recent cattle thefts in the area as well as provide tips on protecting livestock and equipment against theft.

“TSCRA ranch gatherings are a time for ranchers to get together and discuss what’s going on in the cattle business,” said Joe Parker Jr., rancher and TSCRA president. “These gatherings aren’t just for TSCRA members. Anyone interested in the cattle industry is invited to attend.”

TSCRA is a 136 year-old trade association and is the largest and oldest livestock organization based in Texas.
