NRHA World Championship Shootout Entries Rolling In

$100,000 added Open Class at the NRHA Futurity

The excitement is building for the inaugural NRHA World Championship Shootout as entries are starting to roll in. The draw is going to boast names such as the current leader in the Open top ten standings Bernard Fonck, Two Million Dollar Rider Andrea Fappani and Million Dollar Rider Tom Mc Cutcheon, a list of NRHA Professionals including Jordan Larson, Jared Leclair, Ryan Potucek and bringing an international flair to the competition are Marco Ricotta and Rudi Kronsteiner. These top-notch riders will bring their “A” game on some of the best mounts in the Reining industry. Horses such as BA Reckless Chick (owned by Nicky Nietvelt Van Tendeloo), West Coast Wrangler (owned by Ryan Potucek) and Hollywoodstinseltown (owned by David Silva, Sr.) are just naming a few. The Shootout is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 2 and is this year’s largest added money NRHA-approved class in the world. In addition to crowning the Shootout champion, NRHA will honor the 2010 NRHA Open World Champion in front of the largest live Reining audience in the world at the NRHA Futurity & AdequanR North American Affiliate Championship Show. The entry deadline is November 8.

The $100,000 added Shootout, sponsored by Equine Sports Medicine, is an “Open-to-the-World” class where the top Open reining horses on the planet may compete in a dramatic showdown for the winner’s estimated purse of $30,000. In addition, the 2010 NRHA Open World Champion will be recognized and honored at the show – even though the World Champion and the Shootout winner may not be the same.

. Held as a main ticketed event on Thursday, December 2

. Will pay $30,000 est.* to the winner (using NRHA schedule B)

. November 8 entry deadline = $1,500 entry fee ($100 Judges Fee and $20 Video Fee)

. Late payment due after November 8 until 5 p.m. prior to the go-round = $3,000 ($100 Judges Fee and $20 Video Fee)

. If more than 30 horses enter, show management reserves the right to hold a go-round and a final in order to make the evening ticketed performance possible
