AMHA Announces Team Morgan 2010

The American Morgan Horse Association (AMHA) is pleased to announce the following equestrians have been named to Team Morgan 2010 and will take part in an international hunter seat equitation competition at Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, in November.

Sara Cleland, 15, Granite Falls, Washington Sarah Harb, 16, Plaistow, New Hampshire Emily Gill, 15, Louisville, Ohio Kendra Peeples, 16, Oxford, New Jersey Maggie Shaughnessy, 20, Norman, Oklahoma Linda Sieverkropp, 19, Ephrata, Washington Shannon Tulloch, 15, Lake Stevens, Washington Alexandria Warner, 17, Pomfret Center, Connecticut

AMHA is pleased to partner with Stephens College to hold this competition, which will take place November 18-20 against an equestrian team from the college. Eight riders from each team will compete using World Cup rules. A three-member equitation judging panel will mark the cards and awards will be given to the overall high-point rider for both rail and pattern and the overall high-point team.

In 2007, the American Morgan Horse Association and the American Morgan Horse Educational Charitable Trust approved “Team Morgan,” an international, multi discipline competition program for Morgan youth ages 14-21. Past Team Morgan competitions have included saddle seat competitions in South Africa and the Massachusetts Morgan Horse Show, as well as a competition in North Carolina in August 2009.
