The National Reining Breeders Classic, held annually at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy, Texas, is not only the largest added money reining event in the world – it also has earned a well deserved label as the “fun” show. That moniker will be strengthened in 2010 when the Platinum Performance-hosted NRBC Welcome Party on Tuesday, April 10, features Randy Paul. While most reining enthusiasts know that Randy Paul, of Scottsdale, Arizona, is a National Reining Horse Association Million Dollar Rider and an NRHA Futurity Champion, some don’t know that he has another passion – music.

He has recently released his first album, called “The Sky.” During the Platinum Performance NRBC Welcome Party, Paul will entertain the NRBC participants with his music. This is actually Paul’s NRBC encore – he last sang for the Katy, Texas crowd in 2007, when he, Lyle Lovett, and John Hiatt joined together for the Concert in the Practice Pen. This year he will be joined by his daughter, Lynzee Foreman, and son-in-law Mark Foreman.

Platinum Performance first became an NRBC Sponsor in 2009, and hosted the Non Pro Draw Party. Lauren Everett of Platinum Performance noted, “We are excited to continue to be a part of the NRBC, an elite event where many Platinum Performance clients come to compete.”

Savannah Howell, NRBC Media Coordinator, added, “We are thrilled that Platinum Performance has continued their support of the NRBC. The welcome party will be an especially memorable night with Randy singing, and is a great way to kick-off the beginning of Open Classic competition.”

Everett was also enthusiastic about the Welcome Party entertainment. “We’re looking forward to being there to help kick things off with great food and the music of Randy Paul,” she said.
