Rodeo Austin Promotes Key Staff

RODEO AUSTIN PROMOTES KEY STAFF

Austin, Texas, July 13, 2009 – Rodeo Austin recently promoted three key staff members who have shown strong leadership to new managerial positions. Both Katy Berdoll and Johnny Philipello have been named Senior Manager and Jennie Richmond is now the Marketing Manager. All three members of Team Rodeo Austin have shown dedication and enthusiasm to growing the organization and furthering the mission of Promoting Youth Education – Preserving Western Heritage.

Katy Berdoll has been employed with Rodeo Austin for eight years and has played an active role in almost every aspect of the organization during her tenure. She currently oversees the Entertainment, Corporate Relations, Marketing and Ticketing Departments. Katy is a graduate of St. Edwards University with a degree in Marketing & Finance. She is also a member of Class XI of the Texas Agricultural Lifetime Leadership and is Director at Large for the Austin Chapter of Executive Women International. Katy was previously the Entertainment and Marketing Manager.

Johnny Philipello has been with Rodeo Austin since 2003 and heads up the Competitive Events, Operations and Exhibits Departments. Johnny graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree. Johnny is also an active member of the Young Men’s Business League of Austin. Johnny was previously the Competitive Events and Operations Manager.

Jennie Richmond has worked at Rodeo Austin for nearly three years. Jennie leads the marketing department in producing the advertising, public relations and promotional programs for the organization. Jennie is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Advertising and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Texas Association of Fairs and Events. Jennie was previously the Marketing Coordinator.

Rodeo, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, contributes nearly $1.5 million annually to the youth of Texas with the help of over 2,000 volunteers, donors and sponsors.
